The Service Bullpen

This is me and some of my co-workers in the late 90's. We were installation and service engineers at a medical device company. We provided technical support for the company's software products, which are used for various types of brain surgery. The four of us shared an office we called "the bullpen," because, like relief pitchers, when the phone rang, we had to answer and save the day. Unlike relief pitchers, we didn't sit around chewing tobacco and eating sunflower seeds all day. Most of the time we were travelling around the country working at hospitals, so the four of us were rarely in the office at the same time. A dozen years after this photo was taken, three of us were still with that same company.
